At Brightlens, we’re here to help you stay safe on the road. Yellowed headlights can reduce visibility at night, making driving more difficult and less safe. Let us restore your headlights and improve your confidence behind the wheel.
Polishing vs polymerisation
Headlight polishing
Traditional headlight polishing removes the degraded surface layer with a buffing compound, followed by the application of an additional protective sealant. Although this process can immediately improve lens clarity and beam output, standard polished lenses may begin to haze again within a few months unless they are regularly maintained and re-sealed to protect against UV exposure.
Vapour polymerisation
Polymerisation uses a specialised heated vapour system that chemically bonds a new, ultra-durable polycarbonate layer (Plastic) directly onto the lens. Rather than just buffing the old surface, it creates an OEM-grade factory finish that delivers exceptional crystal clarity and lasting protection against Hawkes Bay's harsh UV rays for approx 1 year and add protection will add durability 2 years+.

Service Terms and Conditions
*While our headlight resurfacing and treatments restore clarity and significantly improve road visibility to help meet Warrant of Fitness light-output standards, results may vary depending on the age and overall condition of the polycarbonate (plastic) lens. Our Warrant of Fitness pass guarantee (polymerisation service only) applies only to exterior lens hazing and light-dispersion issues addressed during the polymerisation treatment. It does not cover internal reflector defects, moisture, electrical headlight assembly failures or headlight alignment. The 2-year warranty only ensures your headlights will remain in better condition than they were, before resurfacing - Premature degradation maybe possible due to environmental factors beyond our control.
